WALK ON WATER AQUATRED
Our Walk on Water Aquatred is ideal for horses rehabilitating post-surgery or injury and to jump start your conditioning program. Each plan is specifically tailored to fit the needs of each individual horse with focus on increasing stride length, strengthening muscles, and building stamina. The use of water in conjunction with the treadmill reduces concussion and creates resistance. The degree of contact to a surface during exercise strengthens soft tissue structures such as the flexor tendons and suspensory ligaments preventing injury or re-injury during rehab/conditioning and later when the horse returns to performance.
PEGASUS LASER THERAPY Drug-Free, Surgery-Free, Fast-Acting, Non-invasive, PAIN-RELIEF
Photobiomodulation, commonly known as laser therapy, penetrates tissue simulating individual cells to revitalize and activate their own healing process. Cells absorb this light beam and go through a chemical change that increases circulation, reduces inflammation, regenerates tissue at the cellular level, while creating an analgesic effect, and decreasing healing time.
Commonly treated areas:
- Tendon and suspensory injuries
- Degenerative joint disease
- Osteoarthritis
- Back Disorders
- Wound Healing
Some injuries will require a series of treatments for maximum benefit. Each treatment is customized to the patient, injury, and treatment area. The Pegasus laser is utilized pre-and post-ride in performance horses for muscle pain to maintain peak performance.
NeoVet Shockwave
Shockwave therapy utilizes soundwaves to create microtrauma in tissue, stimulating an increase in blood flow, and new blood vessel formation in the target area, eliciting a healing response. Repeated treatments may be necessary in provoking the healing process until the injury is completely healed. Treatments are non-invasive and usually take between 10-15 minutes, allowing the horse to go home the same day as treatment. All treatment protocols are monitored by a veterinarian and customized to the patient.
Clinically shown responses:
- Reduction of inflammation and pain
- Activation of stem cells and platelets
- Release of growth factors
- Increased blood flow and other healing mediators
Commonly treated injuries:
- Suspensory and ligament injuries
- Back and neck pain
- Foot pain
